Throughout my time at Swarthmore, I have pursued multiple projects in order to understand who I am, and who I hope to become.

Inclusive Excellence Fellows Initiative: Good Trouble and Good Eats
“This project seeks to engage students, faculty, and staff at Swarthmore in constructive conversations about identity and belonging within the context of food to ultimately develop a new understanding of how food practice can serve as a tool to tear down barriers and create meaningful relationships.”
Sponsored by Swarthmore’s Inclusive Excellence Fellows Initiative, leading this project during the 2023-2024 academic year has taught me valuable skills in event management and programming as well as moderating meaningful discussions on difficult topics in a thoughtful manner. My experience in communicating to a wide range of audiences proved especially valuable in the success of this project.

“I don’t know what job I’ll have in five years. I only hope that I bring my relentless passion to every project and career path I pursue.”

Private Swim Lessons
I have been a competitive swimmer my whole life and I love sharing my passion for the sport with the next generation. While I know that not every athlete is meant to coach, I love the process of teaching essential skills to other people, especially children. I have had about four years of coaching experience but I have transitioned to exclusively coaching private lessons for about a year.
I have found that building a one-on-one relationship with young swimmers helps facilitate a unique trust bond that contributes to a healthy relationship with water as well as with figures of authority as the child grows older. The relationships I have built have taught me patience and creative forms of communication that have translated across projects.
